WHAT IS GASTRIC BALLOON
Gastric balloon is a new kind of weight-loss procedure in which a saline-filled silicone balloon is put in stomach, which helps losing weight by reducing the amount of food patient takes. Gastric balloons creates quicker feeling of fullness. It is a good solution for those who are overweight or obese (usually BMI over 30). Empty gastric balloon is inserted into stomach through mouth using a thin, flexible tube that has a light and a camera on its end (it is called endoscope).
